Ms. Patel has over twenty years of experience in the design and
marketing of products, services and programs largely for elders
and their care network. Her strengths lie in market planning and
application for Healthcare and Social Services with the insightful
integration of pure market intelligence to improve business decisions
and strategic direction.
Ms. Patel's analytical skills were honed at Kendall Healthcare
for five years. Working along-side R&D and Marketing leadership
she designed and conducted Marketing Research to help the firm secure
market advantage in hospital wound care, diagnostic and incontinent
products against Johnson and Johnson, C.R. Bard and other market
leaders. Exposure to the Operating Rooms and floors of dozens of
hospitals across the country helped her expand her healthcare parlance
and increase her communications impact and credibility with healthcare
professionals and executives.
Ms. Patel's understanding of older consumers and their decision-process
for products and services began in the early 80's when she led the
Market Planning function at Lifeline Systems, North America's largest
Personal Emergency Response Company. Focus groups conducted and
studied among hundreds of elders directed product designs that captured
awards from the Aging world to include multiple recognitions from
the American Society on Aging. Advancing to Marketing Management
Ms. Patel's programs to educate Healthcare referral sources on the
service and tools to help the Sales organization stimulate the fiscally-driven
mind-sets of hospital leadership resulted in 15% of 2000 programs
growing their subscriber base at double-digit rates annually. As
VP, Marketing at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay for 5 years
Ms. Patel's strategic capabilities were amply demonstrated as the
point interface with McKinsey and Company to define a new fund-raising
model for the long-term viability of the organization. Ms. Patel
has been a senior member of the strategic planning processes for
two non-profits, Ethos and Primary Source.
Ms. Patel's excellent team-working skills, strong organizational
skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver projects in
line with client expectations have been demonstrated in her organization
and delivery of the annual Academy Series at Lifeline, Massachusetts
- a training and motivational 2-day forum for 250 top customers;
laying the strategic framework and leading the implementation team
for 4 Annual Sales Meeting and leading a 2001 Customer Conference
for 350 customers. Excellence in customer service was acquired at
the United Way where Ms. Patel was in charge of the giving relationships
with the top 50 firms in greater Boston to design campaigns that
were compatible with corporate community goals and the United Way's
mission.
Ms. Patel's strong track record of personal achievement, ability
to work well in partnership situations and personal credulity have
allowed her to launch a strategic marketing firm with immediate
clients to include Jewish Family Services of Boston, Lifeline Systems
and Stackpole and Associates. Ms. Patel holds a BS with highest
honors from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA with a specialization
in Marketing from the University of Chicago. She's a member of the
Boston Club of 500 top female executives. Ms. Patel was recently
invited to join the Board of Shared Inc. dedicated to helping companies
exercise their community largesse in strategic global pockets through
the facilitation of access to basic medications for a better quality
of life.
